In a significant development, the Vice-Chancellor of the esteemed National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has officially approved the review of the admission requirements for the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program. This decision, which has been endorsed by the Senate, aims to streamline the admission process and provide easier entry into NOUN for OND holders.

According to the new guidelines, individuals who possess a lower class OND will now be eligible for direct admission into 200 level programs at NOUN. This change in policy is set to be implemented starting from the upcoming 2023-2 semester, allowing prospective students with an OND qualification to seamlessly continue their higher education journey at NOUN.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free transition, the responsibility of implementing the necessary changes on the NOUN application portal has been assigned to the Director of Management Information Systems. This proactive step will guarantee that both aspiring students and the general public are well-informed about the updated admission requirements and can navigate the application process with ease.

This groundbreaking decision made by the Vice-Chancellor and Senate of NOUN is expected to attract a wider pool of applicants and foster inclusivity in higher education. Aspiring students across the country can now take advantage of this progressive change in policy and pursue their academic aspirations at NOUN, a renowned institution committed to educational excellence.

As the National Open University of Nigeria continues its endeavors to enhance educational accessibility and promote academic excellence, stay tuned for more updates on its ongoing initiatives.
