The 2024_2 Conference Marking exercise in the South-east zone has "ended satisfactorily" in the region, the Coordinator of the marking zone, Prof. Sami Michael Ayodele, has said. 

Ayodele, who disclosed this during an interview with NOUN News correspondent, commended the subject officers for what he described as exceptional dedication and commitment toward ensuring the smooth execution of the exercise.

The coordinator also noted that the subject officers demonstrated remarkable organisational skills and meticulous arrangement of scripts according to the designated distribution plan for the examiners. 

He particularly praised them for their exemplary interpersonal skills, citing their friendliness, calmness and maturity in interacting with the examiners. 

The Professor of Botany highlighted the positive and cordial relationship that existed between the subject officers and the examiners, which contributed significantly to the overall success of the exercise. 

"According to the agreement form signed by examiners, the majority of them successfully met the script submission deadline. Although few examiners defaulted on their commitment, all scripts were ultimately submitted within the designated time frame. Notably, the exercise was marked by a 100% script recovery rate, with no script reported missing, " he said.

The coordinator expressed his sincere appreciation to the host centre director, Prof. Charity Akuadi Okonkwo, for her tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to her responsibilities, adding that despite resource limitation, she made commendable efforts to provide necessary materials. 

He also praised the centre's exceptional environment, describing it as clean, welcoming and ideally suited for the exercise. 

On the part of centre's staff, Ayodele commended them for their outstanding work ethic, dedication and perseverance, even as he noted their commitment to ensuring that all assignments were thoroughly attended to, often going above and beyond without complaint.
