In a bid to promote educational opportunities and outreach, the Badagry Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) embarked on a meaningful advocacy visit to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Seme Border. Led by the esteemed director of the centre, Dr. Julius Paul Eyanuku, the team was warmly welcomed by Comptroller Douglas Tanko Audu and his personnel.

The primary focus of the visit was to encourage students' enrollment into NOUN and shed light on the myriad benefits offered by the institution's diverse academic programs. Dr. Eyanuku passionately highlighted the educational opportunities available, aiming to create awareness and inspire potential students to pursue their academic aspirations at NOUN.

In response, Comptroller Audu expressed his regret that many of his personnel were on shift or out on official duties, limiting the audience for the advocacy drive. However, he assured the team of a re-invitation, providing an opportunity to reach a larger audience of approximately 400 personnel during one of their parade days.

The camaraderie between the Badagry Study Centre team and the NIS personnel was evident, with both parties appreciating the friendly reception and exchange of valuable insights. The university management expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and eagerly accepted the re-invitation to further extend NOUN's reach and educational offerings.

As part of their outreach efforts, the advocacy team also visited the French Speaking Section of the Nigeria Immigration Service, where they distributed informative fliers to create awareness about NOUN's academic programs.

This advocacy visit symbolizes the power of collaboration and outreach, bridging borders to provide educational opportunities for individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills. With NOUN's commitment to promoting inclusive education, partnerships with institutions like the NIS serve as a beacon of hope for a brighter and more knowledgeable future.

Kudos to the Badagry Study Centre for their proactive advocacy and sincere appreciation to Comptroller Douglas Tanko Audu and the NIS for their support and receptiveness. Together, they are laying the foundation for a well-educated and empowered society, transcending boundaries and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
