In a heartwarming display of gratitude and support, the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) has made a meaningful contribution to the Benin Study Centre. This generous act took the form of a brand-new signboard, emblematic of the enduring bond between the NOUNAA and the educational institution.

The ceremonial presentation of the signboard was orchestrated by the dedicated NOUNAA Executive Committee, Edo State Chapter. Led by the charismatic chairman, Mr. Augustine Anikwe, the committee members included key figures such as Comrade (Mrs.) Priscilla Okojie, serving as the secretary, Mrs. Tina Osaghae in the role of treasurer, and Mr. Dirisu Monday, the financial secretary.

Mr. Anikwe shared insights into the motivation behind this philanthropic endeavor. He underscored the association's deep appreciation for the pivotal role that the university played in shaping their academic journeys. This act of giving back through the signboard donation is a poignant gesture to commemorate the positive impact NOUN has had on the lives of its alumni.

The donation ceremony was a poignant moment, with Dr. Akeem B. Disu, Director of the Benin Study Centre, warmly receiving the gesture on behalf of the institution. Dr. Disu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the thoughtful contribution made by the NOUNAA. He emphasized the significance of such acts in fostering a collaborative spirit for the growth and development of the center.

Furthermore, Dr. Disu assured the NOUNAA representatives of the unwavering support and partnership that the center's management is eager to extend to the association. This mutual commitment underscores the shared goal of ensuring the overall advancement of the institution and the enrichment of its academic environment.

The presentation of the signboard is a tangible representation of the enduring relationship between NOUNAA and the Benin Study Centre. It stands as a beacon of unity, symbolizing the potential for positive change that can emerge when alumni and educational institutions collaborate for a common cause.

This heartening act of giving serves as an inspiring example of how alumni associations can play an active role in the continued success of their alma mater. As the NOUNAA and the Benin Study Centre move forward together, the signboard will proudly stand as a testament to the impact of collective effort and shared dedication.
