The Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL) at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) recently hosted an insightful 2-day webinar titled "Publication on High-Impact Journal." The purpose of this webinar, held on July 18-19, 2023, was to guide students towards meeting the graduation requirements of publishing in high-impact Scopus-indexed journals, a vital aspect for both Masters and PhD students.

ACETEL's dedication to assisting students in navigating the often complex publication process led them to curate a webinar filled with practical tips, valuable resources, and best practices for students, facilitators, researchers, and faculty members alike.

Professor Grace Jokthan, the Director of ACETEL, warmly welcomed all participants and shed light on the significance of the webinar. During the event, the spotlight was on the esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Kingsley Eghonghon Ukhurebor. An accomplished Lecturer and Researcher from the Department of Physics at Edo State University Uzairue, Edo State, and a Research Fellow at WASCAL Competence Centre in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, Dr. Ukhurebor's expertise in research publications earned him a place among the top fifty scholars in Nigeria, as reported by Scopus database.

Dr. Ukhurebor's vast experience and impressive credentials as an editor and reviewer for reputable journals and publishers like Springer made him the perfect choice for this enlightening webinar.

The topics covered in the presentation were equally enlightening, delving into the importance of writing and publishing in Scopus-indexed journals, the significance of high-impact articles, and the detailed procedures for publishing in such prestigious journals.
